Garbí school is situated in  Esplugues de Llobregat, a village  near Barcelona in Catalonia.
Catalonia is an Autonomous Community that is part of the Spanish State, with its own language and literature. There are two official languages: Catalan and Spanish, which is the official one in all the Spanish State.
 

 
 

 

 

 

 In our school, Catalan is used for the teaching-learning process, while Spanish is learnt as a second language. Our students learn English as a foreign one. In Secondary Education they  can optionally choose French In the project we reached the agreement of making a selection of all the different literatures of the Spanish State, where not only Spanish and Catalan - are spoken. There are many other languages – Basque, Galician, Asturian ,Aranian....- and some Catalan and Spanish dialects
 		  That’s why our students have read in the original language the books of the Catalan literature , the Valencian country and Balearic Islands varieties  as well as the Castillian .The books of the rest of the literatures have been read in the translated version.
